Bonne Route Ltd will provide a 'Bonne Route Tour Pack' to take with you which will include the following:

a) Your holiday itinerary.

b) Telephone numbers for all Hotels and Cross Channel Operators.

c) Telephone numbers for the Bonne Route team and any fellow travellers.

d) Daily driving directions with highlighted directions and your Hotel location.

e) Emergency assistance contact telephone numbers.

We all like to think we have thought of everything, but here are a few 'Tour Tips' that may assist you:

Insurance and Documentation
It is your responsibility to ensure your car is fully insured. Please check with your Insurance Company that you are covered for European travel, and have a green card if necessary. We also advise the addition of a second driver on your insurance policy in case of emergency. You are not covered for Track Days: please contact your insurance company to discuss this, as we require proof of insurance before you enter any Circuit. Your car documents need to be kept with you at all times: do not leave them behind. It is a legal requirement in Europe that a driver is responsible for their papers.

Vehicle Security
We endeavour to find the most secure parking for our groups, but please ensure your car has an alarm system fitted, and valuable items are always kept out of sight. Car security is your responsibility. Most secure parking is in locked hotel car parks, but sometimes this is not available.

Accidents and Illnesses
These do unfortunately sometimes occur. Please ensure you have an E111 with you (obtained from your Post Office - you will need to take identification with you), and have arranged appropriate Travel Insurance. The Bonne Route team will endeavour to assist as much as possible, but cannot accept responsibility for any arrangements that have to be made.

Breakdowns
Again, these do unfortunately sometimes occur. We recommend that you have your car serviced or thoroughly checked prior to departure, and purchase European Breakdown and Recovery Insurance, which provides for an alternative vehicle should it not be possible to repair your car immediately, as well as vehicle repatriation in case your car has to go home before you!

European Driving Laws
These vary from Country to Country, and are subject to change. Please click on the links below, which should provide you with the information you need.

The AA
The RAC

Headlamp Converters
We recommend that you have these fitted. Although we do not plan any night driving, prevailing weather conditions/tunnels may dictate their use.
